Fixes and Improvements

  1. Fixed an MP3 render/mixdown bug that could cut off the final 100–200 ms.
  2. Fixed Wave Render reset and LUFS reset in the track list. The selected item was previously off by one.
  3. Fixed initial voice-track preview file generation in nkManager when new files are imported in the studio or through StudioLink.
  4. Improved importing to automatically upgrade MP3 v2 tags to v3.
  5. Improved end-of-hour handling when traffic must finish playing before the next hour begins.
  6. Added live video camera input when using NextKast with video. Create a sample file named Live.mp4 and connect a capture card to the PC.
  7. Improved Last Played information in Library search results. It was not always accurate.
  8. Fixed AutoTrim automatically enabling when changing modes in the Settings screen.
  9. Fixed the nkManager splash screen not unloading during the Search Library self-check.
  10. New tracks are now added to the top of the category pick stack.
  11. Improved StudioLink moves when using NextSync affiliates. Previous versions could delete and then re-download the moved file.
  12. Improved the Refresh Status dialog so it appears above the Search window.
  13. Increased the maximum StudioLink upload size to 364 MB.
  14. Added a NextAI failsafe. If either AI service runs out of credits, NextAI will notify the user and pause voice and script generation.
  15. Added a link in the Help menu to run RustDesk for remote support.
  16. Refactored the Command Center server and its initialization sequence.
  17. Fixed a scenario where commercials at the end of a macro-filled hour prevented the next hour from loading after a game schedule was terminated.
  18. Fixed a double-click error in Record Downloader when duplicate description entries exist.
  19. Added the ability to schedule more than one game per day.
  20. Improved support for {CR}, {LF}, and {CRLF} when sending serial commands to broadcast tool switchers.
  21. Fixed a scenario where the last frame remained visible when switching from video to audio. The video output now goes to black.
  22. Increased player pre-buffering during track loading to accommodate occasional NAS or network-drive latency.
  23. Fixed dragging a restream/simulcast stream into the live playlist.
  24. Refined the URL Stream Creator to work with both files and streams.
  25. Increased the NextAI Personality field limit from 256 to 2,600 characters.

  1. Refined overlay sweeper selection so checked items remain selected after loading or refreshing.
  2. Fixed Combo RDS UPD output in some use cases.
  3. The Broadcast version can now display External Music Scheduler Paths in Advanced Settings.
  4. Improved NextAI host flow when announcing a track intro.
  5. Fixed an edge case where a forced-hour playlist contains only one element.
  6. Fixed the Render Progress bar not displaying status in some cases.
  7. Corrected several spelling errors.
  8. Added an option to enable or disable missing-track retrieval from a WideOrbit ecosystem.
  9. Improved MusicONE Cloud integration.

  1. Tracks with a past End Date will now be skipped in all playlist scenarios.
  2. Improved the Category Audit at application startup, including clearer status screens and faster performance when using mapped folders or drives.
  3. Fixed the NextKast service remaining active after closing the application while connected to a mapped network folder.
  4. Fixed rotators allocated by external traffic or music schedulers to use the format ³RotatorName.rtr.
  5. Clarified the Game Scheduler traffic-merging workflow to support both static-time and variable-break matching from traffic-system logs.
  6. Improved competitive-code handling in NextTraffic.
  7. Improved performance when automatically importing tracks and performing other operations over network paths.
  8. Improved booked-total calculations in NextTraffic Flex mode.
  9. Fixed Copy and Paste Macros in Clock Builder. Pasted macros previously remained linked to the original merge times.
  10. Refined clearing mapped categories.
  11. Refined the satellite input status display on the main screen.
  12. Missing tracks are now reliably logged in nextKastErrorReport.txt on the desktop.

New Features

  1. Added support for operating NextKast inside a WideOrbit ecosystem, including matching cart numbers, shared traffic, and backup audio retrieval from a WideOrbit Audio Server.
  2. Added automatic deletion of game/event PLS files when the related game or event is deleted or completed.
  3. Added the MusicONE Cloud API.
  4. Added Find and Replace options to the CSV External Library Import for renaming target cart numbers or filenames.
  5. When video is playing from a Sample button during shutdown, the Sample button can automatically restart when the system next boots.
  6. Created a new Playout-Only configuration that turns NextKast into a dedicated playout system. This is currently a non-public offering.
  7. NextTraffic orders now display a history of assigned audio assets in the web interface.
  8. Updated the Sound Processing window.

New in Version 7.1.1

  1. Added custom IP/network-card binding for Command Center.
  2. StudioLink Audio Asset Upload now asks users to confirm before overwriting a track with the same cart number or filename.
  3. NextTraffic now includes 30-, 60-, and 90-day invoice filters. Order Notes are also displayed on invoices.
  4. Added a Pending Web Requests dashboard for the Web Request System.
  5. Updated the Backup and Restore utility.

New in Version 7.1.2

  1. Added NextTraffic re-merging for inserting commercials into existing logs.
  2. Made major improvements to NextTraffic inside StudioLink, including printing, sales commissions, additional features, and an updated user manual.
  3. Added support for the SeaLevel 410E relay switcher.
  4. Missing traffic or music cuts now generate a report on the desktop.
  5. Updated StudioLink to display the track count and hide track history in the Full Library Search view.
  6. Added a background worker for Search Library refresh and creation.
  7. Added an amber background to tracks inserted into the live log.
  8. Added automatic latest-file-date auditing when operating inside a WideOrbit ecosystem.
  9. New tracks are now placed at the top of the pick stack. Tracks moved between categories are placed at a random position for Music Scheduler rotation.
  10. Track Search on the playout screen now remains open after the first track is dragged.
  11. Added watchdog monitoring for Command Center and StudioLink.
  12. Added more guardrails for NextAI responses and time-of-day references.
