Section 25 – Email Alerts
Overview:
NextKast can notify users of potential system and scheduling issues via email alerts. To enable this feature, enter up to three email addresses in the designated fields within the ADV (Advanced) window.
Types of Issues Reported:
- Missing or Corrupt Audio Asset: If an audio file is missing or unplayable, a warning will be sent.
- Missing Traffic Log: If the next day’s traffic log is not received by 3 PM, the system will send a warning.
- Incoming Web Requests and Shoutouts: When a listener request or shoutout is received, the station manager will be notified of the request details.
- Missing Playlist/Log: If the next day’s playlist or log is not available by 3 PM, the system will alert the user.
- Silence Detection: An alert will be sent if silence is detected for more than 20 seconds.
- Log Stuck: If the system log becomes stuck and cannot progress, a warning will be issued.
To ensure the email alert system is functioning properly, use the “Test” button located in the ADV window.
