Scheduler Screen Overview

BuilThe Scheduler screen allows for the scheduling of rotations, playlists, or LineIn events by the hour or minute. Keep in mind that if you are generating playlists from NextKast using the Playlist Generator, they will be automatically scheduled by NextKast.

Key Features of the Scheduler:

• Top of the Hour Changes: All changes will occur as close to the top of the hour when ‘Top of the hour’ is checked in the settings screen.
• Immediate Changes: To fade out current programming and make changes immediately, check the ‘Force Schedule Changes’ option in the settings screen. You can also force events by double-clicking on the item in the schedule and selecting Force from the menu that appears. By default, minute events are forced, and hourly events are not.
• Scheduling Different Rotations: The most common task using the scheduler is to schedule different rotations for different days and hours. For example, your daytime rotation may differ from your nighttime rotation, and you can schedule them accordingly.

Note:

The Playlist Generator uses the schedule of rotations to generate playlists from the rotations that are scheduled. If no rotations are scheduled, it will always pick the first one in the list.

How to Schedule:

• Schedule a Rotation or Custom Playlist: Pick the rotation from the top list view and click on the hours you want this rotation to be active. For minute changes, first select the hour, then click on the minute. A clock icon will appear in any hour that has a minute schedule assigned.
• Deleting an Assignment: To delete an assignment, simply right-click on the hour or minute.

Audience Pleaser Mode: This schedule can also be put in Audience Pleaser mode (by clicking the Schedule Mode button) to allow the scheduling of different Audience Pleaser amounts per day, week, or hour. See the settings page for more information on Audience Pleaser.
